Skin boosters are very similar to very fine dermal fillers. As we get older our skin becomes thinner and dull. Skin boosters are injected into the skin to rejuvenate and hydrate the skin making it firmer, restoring volume and improving brightness, reducing wrinkles and acting as an overall skin enhancer and revitalizer.
Injections may be given by an injecting gun or individually by needle and are placed superficially in the skin within the papillary dermis, activating fibroblasts leading to the formation of new collagen and elastin.
Areas that are most commonly injected and the face, neck, décolletage and hands.
This treatment can be used on all skin types and is excellent for hydrating and improving the texture of the skin.
Skin boosters can be used in combination with other treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, dermal filler and laser to provide an overall more enhanced and fresher look.
The recommended treatment protocol is up to 3 initial treatments with a single follow-up treatment every 6-9 months to maintain effect.
Under Australian law, skin booster injections are prescription-only medications and therefore we are unable to name the products that we use.
Costs start at $380/ml with 3-4mls required to treat the typical full face.
